GSILVER Audio is an independent audio software project by Greg Silver, created from the perspective of a producer and DJ with decades of experience in clubs, studios, labels and radio.
The idea behind it is simple: tools for musicians and producers should come from real production workflows, not from guessing what might be useful.
There are already powerful and highly sophisticated tools for almost every part of music production. But more features are not always the answer. Sometimes the better tool is the one that does one specific job extremely well, stays out of the way and lets you keep working.
cueMIDI was the first tool built around that idea.
It started with a very ordinary frustration: browsing MIDI files outside the DAW. What I wanted was simple. Click through my own MIDI folders, hear a file immediately in sync with the project and through the instrument I was already using, and if it worked, drag it straight into the track.
Some DAWs offer parts of that workflow, but I wanted one simple and consistent solution that worked the same way across different hosts.
I couldn’t find anything that did exactly that in the way I wanted.
So I built it.
cueMIDI is the first result of that approach, not the last. Future GSILVER Audio tools will follow the same principle: solve a real workflow problem, keep the concept simple, and make the tool disappear into the creative process as quickly as possible.

GSILVER Audio is a small independent project, and I like it that way. It means I can stay close to the people actually using the tools and keep building around real feedback and real production workflows.
